The Eagle's Nest

         I have personally been to The Eagle's Nest, (Kehlsteinhaus) and the views are truly amazing. The Eagle's Nest is where Hitler went to get away during World War II. It is atop the mountain, Kehlstein. You should plan to take a historical tour. It is located in Berchtesgaden. 

 

Oktoberfest- Munich

         The Oktoberfest celebration in Munich is very long celebration, lasting 16 days! The festival attracts guests from all over the world! If you are an adult, there is plenty of famous there, but there are also some fun things for children to do too. There are also a lot of sausages and pretzels to feast on, as well.

 

Europa Park

       If you are traveling with kids, you should plan to go to Europa Park. Europa Park is the largest amusement park in Germany. With around 5 million guests attending each season, it is very popular with children. The park is located in Rust, Germany, near Strasbourg. 

Heidelburg Castle

       The Heidelberg Castle is a 16th century castle that has 1 million guests yearly. It is located on a hillside in Heidelberg, Germany. This castle has a view of the city from 300 feet up. It is one of the landmarks of Renaissance architecture.

Berlin Wall

       The Berlin Wall is a piece of Germany's history that is worth visiting in person. The wall is from the Cold War time period from 1961-1989. The wall was 11.8 feet tall. The majority of this structure came down in 1989, but a small portion of it still remains, as a reminder of the past.
